There are two women only workshops offered by the Fort Garry Women's Resource Centre that are free. They are outside of the North End (they are located at 1150A Waverley Street) however bus tickets are available at the site.
The first is on Tuesday July 24 from 1 - 3pm. It is to learn about the Community Unemployed Help Centre & Employment Insurance for Women. You will be able to learn about free services offered by the Community Unemployed Help Centre and view a presentation on Employment Insurance. Space is limited and pre-registration is requested by calling 204-477-1123. Childcare is available upon request and healthy snacks will be provided.
The second is on Family Law and Estate Planning. This is offered on Thursday July 26 from 6 - 8pm. This workshop is on considerations for seperated and blended families and planning your estate. Again, pre-registration is requested by contacting 204-477-1123. Childcare is also available upon request and healthy snacks will be provided.
Both are funded by the Jewish Foundation of Manitoba making the workshops free however any non perishable food items or monetary donations are gladly accepted.
We are a community volunteer group that is looking to build friendships, community ties, improve safety and relationships, beautify our neighbourhood and promote positive events. Our meetings are the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7 PM in Win Gardner Place - 363 McGregor Street.
