What is the North End Hockey Program; & registration

Ever heard of the North End Hockey Program?

Their Mission is:


To address the barriers that prevent children, youth and families from fully participating and being meaningfully involved in organized sport and to establish partnerships, create opportunities and build capacity and leadership of North-End families while promoting connectivity with other communities/neighborhoods in Winnipeg.

Their Company Overview is:

The Winnipeg North End Sport/RecreationCommittee currently consists of representatives from Ndinawemaaganag Endaawaad (Ndinawe), the North End Community Renewal Corporation (NECRC), Winnipeg Police Service – Division 13 – Community Support Unit, Manitoba Aboriginal Sports and Recreation Council, and General Council Winnipeg Community Centres.

What they are about is:
The North End Hockey Program provides up to 100 children ages 5-12 who reside in the North End of Winnipeg the opportunity to play organized hockey.

The North End Hockey Program consists of-minor hockey teams form timbits to peewee who are coached and mentored by community volunteers.


The 2012-2013 season is almost upon us. Want to get your player involved?

Registration is scheduled for the following dates:


Wednesday, August 29, 2012 6- 8pm
Tuesday, September 4, 2012 6-8pm
Tuesday, September 11, 2012 6-8pm

Registration will be at the Metis Club at 406 McGregor Street.

Do forget to bring your players birth certificate, medical card and your Notice of Assessment to make the process go quick and easy.
